Custom Metal Point-of-Purchase Displays
A point-of-purchase display holds one product or promotion on a counter or the floor and is replaced when the promotion ends. K-Display builds the frames, shelves, headers, and bins for display agencies and brands, in carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.
Point-of-purchase displays we build
K-Display builds counter and floor displays: welded frames and base plates, formed shelves with dividers and stops, headers, sign holders, and dump bins in carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. Display agencies send the structural drawing and brands the artwork. We supply each display bare or powder coated in your color, with the graphics applied, assembled or as a knock-down kit.
Bays and checkout metalwork that stay in the store are store fixtures.

Tabs formed on the shelf drop into slots cut in the upright, so the cut locates the shelf. In a knock-down display the fasteners then hold each shelf where the slot put it.
Point-of-purchase display parts we make
- Counter and floor frames
- Welded frames and base plates sized to the footprint and the merchandise arrangement.
- Shelves, dividers, and product stops
- Formed shelves with front lips, plus dividers and stops that position the package.
- Headers and sign holders
- Header panels and sign holders that carry the brand's artwork.
- Dump bins
- Formed open bins on a frame or base for loose and bulk merchandise.
Package, weight, and the faces a shopper sees
- Facings and shelf weight
- The number of facings and the weight on each shelf set the metal thickness, the shelf depth, and how many supports a shelf needs. A shelf formed for light packages bows under heavier ones.
- Base and stability
- A tall display on a narrow base tips forward when its upper shelves are stocked and a shopper reaches in. The footprint, the anchorage, and the stocked weight therefore set the base together.
- Faces that show
- Shoppers walk around a display and see every face. A weld, tab slot, or fastener on a visible face shows unless the joint is built to hide it.
- Ship state
- A knock-down display ships flat and is closed in the store with fasteners that are kitted with the unit. A welded display ships complete and takes more of the carton and the freight.
Hardware pressed in and holes masked before the coat
The base plates take their hardware before the coat and their mounting holes are masked, so a display bolts down on clean threads.
Cut the frames, form the shelves
We laser cut the frames, shelves, and header panels, then form the shelves and lips.
Weld the frames, then coat
We weld the frames, press the hardware into the base plates, and powder coat in your color.
Mark, kit, and pack
We silk-screen or apply the artwork to the finished surface, then assemble each display or kit it with its hardware and pack it by store.
Make replenishment part of the layout
Shelf spacing needs to leave room to lift merchandise over the front lip and out from beneath the shelf above. Show the package in its stocked position and the path it takes when removed.
Share representative package sizes and identify shelves or product stops that need to be removable. We can review these details alongside the shelf positions and attachment points in your display drawings.

The package must lift over the front lip before moving out from beneath the shelf above. Shelf spacing and lip height therefore need to accommodate this movement as well as the merchandise's stocked position.
