Sheet Metal Fabrication for Retail Environments
Sheet metal fabrication for retail environments at K-Display spans point-of-purchase displays, store fixtures, shelving, counter frames, and kiosk cabinets. We build them for brands, retailers, and fixture houses.
Retail displays, store fixtures, shelving and kiosk cabinets
K-Display supplies point-of-purchase (POP) displays, store fixtures, shelving, counter frames, kiosk cabinets, and sign hardware in carbon steel, powder coated, with silk-screened or applied graphics and hardware installed. In sheet metal fabrication for retail environments, one dimension runs through a whole fixture set: store-fixture uprights, such as Lozier's L-Line, are slotted 1 inch on center, so shelf and bracket positions move in 1-inch steps. A fixture set repeats the same uprights, brackets, and trays in every store, so one off-pitch slot repeats on every shelf of the rollout.

A store shelf has two jobs: the bracket carries the load and the front lip holds the product. Raising the shelf one slot lifts both together by 1 inch.
What we make for retail environments
- Point-of-purchase displays
- Floor, counter, and header displays built to a brand's merchandising layout and repeated in every store of the rollout.
- Store fixtures
- Fixture sets built to a fixture house's bay layout, in the quantities a store rollout needs.
- Shelving and merchandising trays
- Formed shelves, dividers, and product stops sized to the package and the weight per shelf.
- Perforated and slotted panels
- Punched and slotted back panels for pegs, hooks, and accessories, cut to the width of the bay.
- Counter and checkout stands
- Counter frames and checkout stands in steel, powder coated to match the fixtures around them.
- Kiosk and self-checkout cabinets
- Cabinets, bezels, and access panels for self-order and self-checkout kiosks, built around the screen and payment device, with hinges and locks installed.
- Signage and brand hardware
- Sign frames, header panels, logo plates, and laser-cut lettering in steel, powder coated to match the fixtures around them.
What retail environment jobs require
- Bay layout and fixture-house plan
- Bay widths, upright heights, and the run each part fills in the fixture house's plan, so every part is cut to the run it serves.
- Cosmetic finish and color match
- Powder color, texture, and gloss, with the visible faces named and a physical sample for matching across waves.
- Graphics and branding
- Artwork files with placement for silk-screened art, decals, logo cutouts, and label positions.
- Hardware and accessory interfaces
- Upright slot dimensions and hook shapes for brackets and shelves, at their after-coat dimensions, and the positions of locks, leveling feet, and casters.
- Merchandise dimensions
- Package sizes, shelf spacing, and weight per shelf, from which trays, stops, and bases are sized.
- Rollout quantities and schedule
- Total quantity, release schedule, and ship-to pattern by store or by region.

Knock-down fixtures ship the shelf and its hooked brackets loose, and the store installer seats the hooks in the upright slots. Hook width and depth decide how fully each bracket seats.
How retail environment work runs
Cut, form, and weld
We laser cut or CNC punch the blanks with every slot and hook at the after-coat dimension you give, then form the parts and weld the frames and cabinets.
Hardware and mask, then coat
We press in self-clinching hardware before powder coat and mask the mounting holes and threads. We silk-screen or apply graphics to the finished surface.
Kit, pack, and ship by wave
We fit the locks and leveling feet, label each part, kit the hardware, and pack by store or by wave as assembled units or knock-down kits.
